Starting the process of delegation took a little work. First I had to figure out what to delegate and what to do myself. For this I had to calculate the value of my time and what tasks were actually below that value. Here is what I did: First, I calculated exactly how many hours a week were spent on work related tasks. I considered everything…drive time, waiting for clients, accounting, emails, phone calls, etc. Next, I multiplied weeks I worked per year by hours per week to get my total hours per year.

Next I had to consider my training load: Let’s face it…55-60 sessions a week will absolutely wear you out. I would get home at the end of the day and collapse. I would dread getting up in the morning just to start the entire process over again. Furthermore, sessions number 8-12 each day had a tendency to be a bit less energetic. I just did not have enough energy to maintain a decent quality of service for that many sessions.
